 When I hear your name is when it all stops
The water retreats to it's cold, sunken grave
I carve my tombstone in damp yellow sand
And wait for the lace plants to drift onto land

The sky presses on the thick stubborn clouds
Who tread, both grey and lonely, onto the West
Mother Wind takes a rest, and gives way to breeze
Who, with her gentle fingers, knocks me to my knees

My tired brown eyes search above for your face
A figure, a feature, hidden deep in the blue
The heather don't rustle, the elm trees don't speak
As I swim below in the old, dirty creek

And then! just like fire, my insides constrict
Like your arms wrapped around me, your cheek against mine,
A passion of life and a calmness of death
Your voice, it's vibrations, the milk of your breath

Someplace in the womb of the crystalline stream
You smile, you smile, you smile at me
But when lightning strikes it's flipped upside down
That's when you drown, you drown, you drown.

goodness I wish, I could let this all go.
as if I'm sick and it's all starting to store.

if I do overflow, please turn me to the side.
there's no way I can let it back in, it's high time I reside.

because the longer you wait to get rid of it
the more it adds up in your stomach pit.

the lost cells from all the drinks I had
made me gullible to be a girl so sad.
